Push-Ups
I can do eight regular push-ups now. Yay!
My goal is to be able to do 30 consecutive regular push-ups by the end of the summer.
My training thus far:
1 set of 30 modified push-ups at least once a week
1 set of 30 modified tricep push-ups at least once a week
1 set of 30 modified bomber push-ups at least once a week
Dive Bomber Push-ups ROCK.

My yoga teacher taught us the totally watered down version of the dive-bomber pushup, ha ha:) Basically you go into a full cobra and snakes back up rather than keeping your stomach above ground. The most pitiful thing to look at *sigh*. But I'll hopefully get to do a real one some day!
I actually tried to do a modified version of this the other evening although I don't know how successful I was. It reminds me of the transition in the sun salutation between downward dog and cobra (does this mean anything to you?). But it was really freakin' hard doing that over and over! I actually dropped to the ground after 5 -- my arms totally gave out of me! Oy! Yeah, upper body strength isn't my thing...gotta work on that.
